  • VASJ honors graduates at Alive on East 185 parade Saturday, May 19

    Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is excited to be participating in the fourth annual Alive on East 185 Parade taking place on Saturday, May 19. If you haven't been down East 185th to see the beautiful banners honoring our graduates, this is your chance (image left).  This year, VASJ is beginning a new tradition of using the parade to honor our graduates.

  • VASJ to hold first Lady Viking Alumni Basketball game Saturday, May 19

    VASJ's head basketball coach Anthony Redding '89 will be holding the schools first Lady Viking Alumni Basketball game on Saturday, May 19, from 12-6 p.m. in the VASJ gym. We will be mixing up Alumni and current students on teams and playing a game or two with a cookout following the games.

  • VASJ students to decorate veterans' graves for Memorial Day

    On Thursday, May 24, VASJ students will volunteer on their day off to join veterans at All Souls Cemetery for the annual decorating of veterans' graves with US flags in preparation for Memorial Day on May 28. Unfortunately, the students are unable to decorate those interred in the mausoleums. If you have a loved one who is a veteran interred at All Souls Cemetery and would like to be sure the gravestone is decorated with a flag, please email Mr.

  • Boys Volleyball receives awards and hopeful for state

    Come show your support of Viking boys volleyball this Thursday, May 10, at their last home game of the season and senior night. With a record of 19-3, the varsity boys volleyball team has already accomplished a season to be proud of. Several team members have received Division II of the North All Region recognition.

  • Marcellus Embry named Plain Dealer Player of the Week

  • VASJ boys track 4x200 relay team set area record

    The VASJ boys track team finished in fourth place at the North Coast League meet at Padua on Thursday. The team was led by the 4x200 meter relay team of C.J. Germany, Devon Bolden, Rodney Burse and Marcellus Embry.

  • Richard Osborne judges speech competition at Ss. Robert and William

    VASJ President Richard Osborne spent the morning of April 18 judging the annual Modern Woodmen of America speech competition at Ss. Robert and William school in Euclid. Also serving as judges were Euclid Mayor Bill Cervenik and Jim Collins of the News-Herald.

  • Spring musical Once on this Island entertains enthusiastic audiences

    The cast and crew of Once on this Island Jr. put on four wonderful performances the weekend of April 27- 29, 2012, including a dress rehearsal performance for more than 300 local elementary students from Our Lady of the Lake, St. Jerome and Sts.

  • Thank-You to the VASJ Community from VASJ President

    A Special Thank-You to the VASJ Community:  We already knew it was a great friendraiser. And we knew that it was a pretty fine fundraiser as well. But now, with the final numbers calculated, we know that our recent Classic Mixer was in fact the most successful fundraising event in the history of our school.

  • Admissions application deadline May 31, 2012

    To be considered for admission for the 2012-2013 school year, application materials for incoming freshmen and transfer students who attend local schools must be complete by May 31. Admissions decisions will only be made when student application files are complete - this means that we must have the completed application, all recommendations and transcripts. Application materials can be found on the application process page of the admissions section of our website.

  • VASJ alum to participate in Ursuline College fashion show

    Natalie Koch '08, a fashion major at Ursuline College, will have her designs featured in a fashion show this weekend at Ursuline College. Modeling her designs will be her two sisters, Olivia Koch '11 and Valerie Koch '15. Below is the event flyer, featuring a picture of Natalie.

  • VASJ students raise over $4,000 for charity

    Each year during Lent, VASJ students organize a Lenten Mission Collection (LMC) in which the entire student body raises money for a worthy cause, usually with some connection to the school. This year, Mr. Minadeo’s ('74) Functions and Statistics class (all seniors) took on the challenge of planning and executing the LMC.
